The Nurse Extern participates in clinical work under the direction of an RN, assisting in individualized patient care and performing designated clinical procedures within the nurse extern scope. This paid externship offers a unique hands-on learning experience designed to bridge the gap between classroom education and real-world practice. Students will rotate through various units, working directly alongside experienced Mercy nurses to enhance their clinical skills and critical thinking.
