About this role

LSEG is seeking a forward-thinking Observability Engineer to join its Network Engineering function. This role is pivotal to defining and delivering its observability strategy—making its systems measurable, reliable, and continually improving. You’ll operate at the intersection of software engineering, SRE, and platform operations, enabling teams across LSEG to turn telemetry into actionable insight and to maximise the value of its observability platforms.

Responsibilities

Design and operate scalable telemetry pipelines for metrics, logs, traces, and events across distributed systems
Define and maintain standards for instrumentation, NMS tooling, dashboards, alerting, and SLIs/SLOs
Integrate and optimise observability tools within the NPS ecosystem
Embed observability in the SDLC, including CI/CD guardrails, pre/post-deployment health checks, and automated validations
Drive adoption through enablement, documentation, and training that upskills engineers and reduces operational toil
