A Nurse Extern is a student in an approved RN or practical nursing program who participates in a supervised clinical externship at Mercy. The six-week program provides preceptor-guided clinical exposure for students who have completed at least two semesters of nursing school. The role offers hands-on experience in a hospital setting with the opportunity to transition to a Nurse Tech role after completion.
