On-Call Building Official

The On-Call Building Official serves on an as-needed basis to direct all disciplines of the Building Department, ensuring accurate building code compliance through permit coordination, plan examination, and inspections. This role involves managing departmental budgets, formulating policies, and overseeing staff performance while maintaining effective relationships with the public and other city departments. The position also includes responsibilities such as investigating complaints, making presentations to civic groups, and potentially serving as the City’s Floodplain Manager.
