View Profile

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), also known as Doctors Without Borders, is an international, independent medical humanitarian organization that delivers emergency medical care to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural disasters, and exclusion from healthcare. MSF runs hospitals, clinics, vaccination and malnutrition programs, surgical and maternal care, and epidemic response teams in hard-to-reach and high-risk settings around the world. The organization combines direct medical interventions with field-based research and outspoken advocacy for access to medicines and protection of patients. MSF is largely funded by private donors and staffed by a mix of international and locally hired medical and logistical professionals and volunteers.
