Operations Superintendent

The Operations Superintendent will lead the safe, reliable and efficient operations of Rio Tinto's Reduction Department at the Kitimat aluminium smelter. Reporting to the Manager Reduction, the role oversees a team of six supervisors and about 50 operators, driving operational excellence, safety, production, quality and cost performance. The position also manages budgets, resources and continuous improvement initiatives while fostering workforce development and stakeholder engagement.
