Operations Technician

The Operations Technician role supports the Space Vehicle Mockup Facility (SVMF) for NASA's COSMOS contract, directly assisting in astronaut training for critical human spaceflight missions like the ISS, Commercial Crew, and Artemis/Orion programs. The position involves hands-on operation and maintenance of Environmental Control Systems (ECS) and breathing-air equipment within full-scale spacecraft mockups. Technicians ensure system readiness, execute checklists, and respond to off-nominal conditions during suited training events. After qualification, the role may also include serving as an SVMF Test Director for pressurized events.
