About this role

The OR RN Internship is a full-time, paid 26-week program designed to train Graduate Nurses or Registered Nurses in the perioperative role through didactic and preceptored clinical experiences. Interns will learn the responsibilities of scrub and circulating nurses, asepsis principles, and surgical equipment preparation, culminating in the completion of the AORN Perioperative 101 curriculum. Successful completion and departmental needs determine placement in a full-time position at a LVHN surgical campus.

Responsibilities

Directs and manages care of designated operative patients
Performs circulating and scrub functions during surgical procedures
Develops and implements perioperative nursing care plans
