## Production Assembler **Location:** Brooklyn Park, MN **Department:** Production Fiber ### Position Objective Prepare bulk fiber optic cable for assembly and splice a variety of fiber optic patch cords and panel assemblies to consistently high‑quality production standards. ### Position Responsibilities | Area | Responsibilities | |------|-------------------| | **Cable Preparation & Assembly** | • Assemble and prepare a variety of fiber optic cables to specification using work orders, drawings, and process instructions.
• Apply process instructions and quality guidelines consistently to meet production standards. | | **Workflow, Communication & Team Coordination** | • Follow work direction from supervisor, lead, engineers, and co‑workers.
• Communicate workflow status clearly and honestly.
• Present updates concisely, adjusting tone/detail for the audience.
• Meet labor/output requirements; record material usage and production output. | | **Flexibility & Cross‑Training** | • Remain flexible and reprioritize work orders as business needs shift.
• Cross‑train across all department work cells and support production needs.
• Instruct and support co‑workers and subcontract personnel.
• Work overtime as required. | | **Quality & Attention to Detail** | • Perform in‑process and final inspections, correcting inconsistencies before they become quality issues.
• Verify accuracy for downstream teams and customers.
• Resolve or appropriately escalate quality issues.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and fiber optic splicing equipment accurately. | | **Safety & Housekeeping** | • Keep work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Follow health and safety regulations; keep safety knowledge current.
• Identify worn tools and maintain them.
