Paraeducator, LEAD Program

The Paraeducator in the LEAD Program assists with small group and individual pupil instruction under the direction of a special education teacher. This role involves supporting both special education and regular students with classroom assignments, instructional activities, and maintaining discipline. The position requires assisting with student toileting, escorting students, and supervising them during recess and lunch. The paraeducator also helps with filing, copying materials, and alerting teachers to any observed problems.
