Paramedic

Provides emergency medical care to sick and injured patients in the prehospital environment, effectively communicating with all persons and departments involved in emergency medical care administration. The role involves driving emergency response vehicles, determining the nature and extent of illness or injury, and providing basic and advanced life support during treatment and transport. Essential duties include completing required documentation, maintaining equipment and inventory, and ensuring accountability for medications on every EMS unit.
