Parenting Support Specialist

The Parenting Support Specialist provides trauma-informed, individualized intervention including parenting skills assessment, family case management, and crisis management. The role involves conducting supervised parenting time and visitation using the OCFS Coached visitation model while meeting with families weekly to support permanency and care planning. The specialist collaborates with families, case managers, and community resources to address safety concerns and develop goals for family reunification.
