About this role

The Assistant Controller supports a16z's Crypto Fund Finance team by managing daily cash flows, reviewing financial reporting, and overseeing crypto asset activity including custody, staking, and trading. This role requires monitoring NAV calculations and various investment instruments while collaborating with internal stakeholders and external auditors to ensure compliance with SEC guidelines and US GAAP.

Responsibilities

Manage daily cash flows and wire activity for investments and distributions
Oversee crypto asset monitoring including custody and staking operations
Prepare quarterly financial statements ensuring compliance with SEC and GAAP
Review work of senior and staff accountants to ensure accuracy
Coordinate with internal teams to integrate accounting systems and processes
