About this role

The Department of Pathology is seeking a full-time Pathologist’s Assistant (PA) at the rank of Instructor to contribute clinical and technical expertise in surgical pathology. The role involves grossing simple and complex anatomic pathology specimens, providing technical assistance for intraoperative consultations, and ensuring accurate diagnoses through detailed specimen sampling. The PA will also teach grossing fundamentals to residents and maintain organization and efficiency within the gross room.

Responsibilities

Gross routine and non-routine simple and complex anatomic pathology specimens
Teach grossing fundamentals and procedures to pathology residents
Provide technical assistance for intraoperative consultations and frozen sections

Skills

Qualifications

Master’s degree from an accredited Pathologists’ Assistant programAmerican Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) certified
