About this role
Registers and interviews patients for Emergency/Trauma and ambulatory services, collecting demographic, insurance, and financial information and entering it into the hospital computer system. Determines preliminary welfare eligibility and coordinates third-party documentation and treatment authorizations. Collects payments or arranges payment terms and refers complex cases to Patient Accounts Advocates. Works within established hospital policies to manage patient registration and billing initiation.
