Patient Care Services Supervisor

The Patient Care Services Supervisor directs and ensures that all patients are assessed and their care is planned, implemented, and evaluated by competent professional nursing staff using age-specific criteria. This role is responsible for meeting New York State standards for nursing practice and all regulatory agency requirements while managing personnel, supplies, and equipment on the units. The supervisor promotes teamwork with physicians, nursing, and other hospital departments, and assumes responsibility for the direction of patient care and administrative decisions for Nursing Service in the absence of the VP Patient Care Services or Director of Medical Services.
