The Patient Care Technician Apprentice at Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital is a paid, employed student role in an 8-week 'Earn While You Learn' certification program for Patient Care Technicians. Apprentices attend classroom instruction and clinical hours (classes Monday–Friday) and, upon successful completion, are hired into a full PCT position at the hospital.
