About this role
Patient Care Technician (PCT) at Sentara Careplex working on the Medical-Surgical unit, providing direct patient support under the supervision of a registered nurse. Full-time night position (36 scheduled weekly hours) with shift hours 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, based in Suffolk, VA. The role supports admissions, discharges, and observes patients' physical, mental, and emotional conditions to report changes to nursing staff.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Sentara Care Partner Certification

- National Patient Care Technician (NCPCT)
- US Navy Hospital Corps School
- EMR/EMS/EMT/AEMT/Paramedic
- Enrollment in Clinical Program (RN/LPN/RT/PT) with ≥1 semester completed
- AHA BLS (within 90 days of hire)
