About this role
A Patient Care Technician at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital works on the Surgery Unit 4 East supporting the med/surg surgical patient population. This part-time, day-shift role is performed in a Level III Trauma Center and reports to and works under the supervision of professional nurses. The position is based onsite in Virginia Beach, VA.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- American Heart Association BLS (within 90 days)
- Sentara Care Partner Certification Program
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)
- National Patient Care Technician (NCPCT)
- US Navy Hospital Corps School
- EMR/EMS/EMT/AEMT/Paramedic
- Current Clinical Student (RN/LPN/RT/PT with ≥1 semester completed)
- PCT/Nursing Assistant Experience (within last 3 years)
