About this role

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) provides non‑licensed patient care tasks under the direct supervision of a registered nurse in the Neurology/Neurosurgery and Cardiovascular/Medical Specialties units at UAMS. The role involves assisting with admissions, transfers, discharges, transporting patients, documenting care activities, and supporting the multidisciplinary care team.

Responsibilities

Obtain patient reports and communicate changes to RN
Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge of patients
Transport patients to other areas of the hospital
Document patient care activities and vital signs accurately
Provide grooming, oral hygiene, and mobility assistance to patients
