Patient Financial Advisor

The Patient Financial Advisor screens uninsured patients for Medicaid and financial assistance, manages the eligibility process, and collects patient responsibility for unscheduled insured inpatients and observation patients. This role requires knowledge of medical insurances, collections, and department processes from registration through billing to assist patients in resolving ability-to-pay issues. The position involves working independently to manage a caseload and provide critical thinking to determine appropriate resources for patient needs.
