About this role
The Patient Safety Attendant (PSA) provides continuous one-on-one observation and monitoring for high-risk patients in a hospital setting to promote safety and prevent self-harm or falls. The role supports the patient care team by maintaining a safe environment and assisting with basic activities of daily living as needed. PSAs work primarily in inpatient units and may accompany patients to tests or procedures while ensuring constant visual supervision.
