About this role

The Patient Transporter provides safe, reliable, and courteous transportation of patients throughout the UofL Health medical complex, caring for individuals of all ages from neonatal to geriatric. The role requires knowledge of hospital policies, basic life support certification, and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff while maintaining safety and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

Provide safe and reliable patient transportation
Identify and report changes in patient status
Maintain patient safety and confidentiality
Operate tele tracking and hospital information systems
Demonstrate proper body mechanics and lifting techniques

Skills

Qualifications

Basic Life Support (BLS) certified by the American Heart Association
