Payments Engineer

This role owns the physical movement of money at Alt, managing banking integrations, payment rails, and the orchestration layer that routes transactions between providers and the company ledger. The position focuses on achieving 99.99% reliability for gateway and banking integrations while optimizing time-to-funds for sellers and borrowers. The engineer is responsible for designing systems that handle high-value transactions, manage risk, and ensure exactly-once delivery into the financial record.
