About this role

This role assists the Pharmacist in providing pharmaceutical care by performing technical and clerical duties within a hospital pharmacy setting. Key tasks include selecting medications based on patient files, managing inventory, delivering drugs to care areas, and operating automated dispensing systems. Staff may also compound sterile products and act as a liaison for gathering patient medication histories.

Responsibilities

Select prescribed medications according to dosage and strength indications
Receive and place merchandise into pharmacy inventory systems
Monitor assigned areas for out-of-stock or expired medications
Deliver medications directly to patient care areas safely
Operate automated drug dispensing system and maintain non-automated inventory
