About this role

The Peer Specialist provides non-clinical, trauma-informed, person-centered support to individuals mandated to the Queens Supervised Release Program, drawing on lived experience with the justice system, recovery, or reentry. The role partners with an interdisciplinary team to engage, advocate for, and connect participants to community resources, with the goal of reducing recidivism and supporting reintegration. Work occurs across courtroom, office, and community settings and includes supervision and professional development.
