Peer Specialist

The Peer Specialist serves as a role model and educator, teaching recipients self-help techniques, coping strategies, and symptom management skills based on personal experience. This onsite role involves providing supportive counseling, assisting with rehabilitation and recovery goals, and helping individuals maintain independent living in the community. The specialist travels to recipients' residences to offer counsel, assist with obtaining necessary services, and advocate for their needs with external providers.
