Peer Support Counselor

The Peer Support Counselor role involves providing outreach, engagement, support, and advocacy to clients within a short-term voluntary residential facility for Transitional Age Youth experiencing psychiatric crises. The position leverages the specialist's lived experience in mental health, judicial, or social service systems to serve as a role model, companion, and advocate. The goal is to support clients in moving toward recovery and creating meaningful roles in their lives separate from their illness.
