Peer Support Specialist

The Peer Support Specialist assists individuals with substance abuse and/or mental health diagnoses by providing recovery support, consumer education, and advocacy. This role focuses on developing skills to build personal support networks and empowering consumers to live and work competitively in the community. The position involves coaching, mentoring, and facilitating support groups while documenting interactions and collaborating with case managers.
