The PER DIEM Peer Support Specialist position is part of the Mobile Crisis Outreach Response Teams (MCORT) in Ocean, Monmouth, Middlesex and Union counties. The role involves responding to calls dispatched through the 988 crisis center to provide crisis care through a peer lens, ensuring individuals feel heard and understood while modeling hope for recovery. MCORT provides 24/7 mobile community outreach services to adults in crisis, including mental health, substance use, and suicidal emergencies.
CSPNJ is a peer-led not-for-profit organization, providing flexible, community-based services. CSPNJ promotes wellness and recovery through the provision of community wellness centers, supportive housing, and crisis respite centers for people with the lived experience of behavioral health conditions and substance use.
