About this role
Wave’s first Performance Engineer will establish and lead the company’s performance engineering practice across its Python monolith, GraphQL API, Postgres/CockroachDB databases, and cloud infrastructure. The role sits in the Platform group reporting to the Director of Platform and focuses on improving scalability, latency, and cost-efficiency for systems serving tens of millions of users. You will build tooling, processes, and best practices used across engineering with the opportunity to grow the function into a dedicated team.
