About this role

The Perfusionist is a clinical member of the open-heart surgical team responsible for operating the heart-lung machine and other extracorporeal devices to support patients during cardiac procedures. The role supports surgeons and anesthesiologists in maintaining patient homeostasis, anticoagulation, and blood gas balance. This position is based within LCMC Health’s surgical services and serves the New Orleans community.
