About this role

The Perfusionist supports, treats, measures, and supplements the cardiopulmonary and circulatory systems of patients during cardiovascular surgery and other procedures. This role involves the advanced technical operation, preparation, and maintenance of cardiopulmonary bypass and ancillary equipment while working in close cooperation with attending physicians. The position requires travel and call for multiple hospitals, including ECMO coverage and transport.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain cardiopulmonary bypass and perfusion equipment
Support patient circulatory system during cardiac surgery procedures
Manage ECMO coverage and in/out of hospital transport
