Pharmacist

The Pharmacist role at Kern Family Health Care supports the daily operations of the pharmacy department and maintains the prior authorization list for drugs within a Knox-Keene licensed HMO. The position involves serving as a technical resource for pharmaceutical issues, assisting providers and patients with drug-related inquiries, and participating in provider education and disease state management protocols. This role also requires liaising with external entities such as the DHCS’s Pharmacy Benefit Manager and vendor representatives to ensure compliance and effective pharmaceutical services.
