About this role

Under the direction of a licensed pharmacist, this role provides practical training in the selection, dosing, administration, and dispensing of medication orders at an inpatient facility. Interns support various pharmacy operations including inventory management, medication preparation, and patient education while collaborating with nursing and medical teams to resolve drug-related issues.

Responsibilities

Review and assess medication orders to identify potential drug-related issues
Compound and prepare medications for delivery to patient care areas
Communicate with physicians and clinicians to facilitate patient care
Manage inventory through returns, stocking, and cycle counts
Provide drug information and education to medical staff and patients

Skills

Qualifications

Enrollment in accredited College of Pharmacy ProgramOhio State Board of Pharmacy Intern License (PH/INT)
