Pharmacy Intern YR3

Pharmacy Intern YR3 supports the mission of the Pharmacy department by ensuring that the right patient receives the right medication in a safe and timely manner under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist. They develop a full understanding of the drug distribution system and demonstrate competency in carrying out all duties associated with delivering medications to the patient care areas. They use related computer software, gain experience in the interpretation, verification, order entry, compounding, and dispensing of pharmaceuticals and pharmaceutical supplies. They may also be involved in the dissemination of drug information.
