Two PhD candidates are sought to join the Curious Beams Lab at Delft University of Technology to develop a new scanning electron microscope for high-resolution imaging of material surfaces. The positions involve building experimental and computational foundations for diffractive atomic-scale surface imaging using coherent backscattered electrons. Candidates will work on either electron optics and experimental imaging or computational imaging and surface science within an ERC Starting Grant project.
