PhD Position Modelling-inspired Cell Engineering for Upscaled Cultivated Meat

We are seeking a PhD student to develop computational models and engineer bovine satellite cell lines for the production of scalable, cruelty-free cultivated meat. The role involves creating large-scale bioreactor simulations, designing scale-down systems to mimic heterogeneous environments, and enhancing cell phenotypes for metabolic efficiency and shear stress resistance. This four-year position offers opportunities to supervise students and pursue research interests within a collaborative academic group focused on cellular agriculture.
