About this role

Lightmatter is seeking a hands-on Photonics Engineer to lead the verification and characterization of high-speed electro-optic links across multiple silicon and system programs. This role involves conducting lab characterization, building system-level models, and serving as the escalation point for complex signal integrity and link-performance issues. The engineer will collaborate with various teams to support silicon bring-up, influence architecture tradeoffs, and mentor senior staff while maintaining active involvement in lab work.
