This role supports the development of electro-optic, RF, and communication systems for the Navy, focusing on optical technologies for free-space communications, fiber lasers, and microwave photonics. The position involves hands-on prototype fabrication, mechanical assembly, and precision fiber splicing under the direction of scientific staff. It also includes routine testing and measurements on photonic integrated circuits and basic optical equipment.
