About this role

The West Region Planning & Optimization Engineer on the Value Chain Optimization (VCO) team optimizes profitability across West Coast refineries through commercial planning, feedstock selection, product placement, and market analysis. The role reports to the West Region Planning Director and works cross-functionally with Clean Products, Crude and Feedstocks, Marketing, Refining, and MPLX to develop regional plans and evaluate strategic buy-or-make decisions. The position is eligible for placement in San Antonio, Los Angeles, or El Paso.
