Police Officer Trainee

The Police Officer Trainee is a non-sworn, full-time position within the Petaluma Police Department, serving as a preparatory role for candidates accepted into the Santa Rosa Junior College Basic Intensive Police Academy. This position provides an opportunity to gain experience in law enforcement operations while meeting the requirements for eventual swearing-in as a Police Officer. The role involves assisting with departmental tasks, evidence processing, and community engagement under the guidance of sworn officers.
