Police Trainee

The Police Trainee is an entry-level, non-sworn training position that prepares candidates for the California Peace Officer Standards & Training (POST) Certified Basic Academy. Upon successful completion of the six-month academy program, candidates are eligible for placement as a sworn Police Officer with the City of Palm Springs. The role involves comprehensive training in criminal investigation, report writing, legal procedures, and physical fitness to ensure readiness for law enforcement duties.
