The Policy Fellow will support Met Council's Policy and Advocacy team by researching and analyzing AI and labor policy impacts on low‑income New Yorkers, drafting legislation and testimony, and convening stakeholders. The role includes a year‑long capstone research project on how AI reshapes economic security for the organization’s clients and will involve advocacy at city, state, and federal levels.
Met Council is America's largest Jewish nonprofit dedicated to fighting poverty, serving more than 350,000 clients each year through ten departments staffed by expert social workers and powered by AI tools. Based in New York City, the organization delivers a broad range of social services—including food assistance, crisis intervention, senior services, family violence support, and affordable housing—to vulnerable New Yorkers. Met Council also advocates on behalf of all needy New Yorkers and serves as the umbrella organization for 15 local Jewish Community Councils throughout New York City.
