The Polysomnography Trainee (A-STEP) is an accredited entry-level training position that completes classroom and supervised clinical education to become a licensed sleep technologist. The role involves supervised practice in polysomnography testing and scoring under the oversight of licensed clinicians and in accordance with physician orders and national standards. Trainees are expected to complete program requirements and obtain state licensure within a specified timeframe.
