Port of Houston Authority
This role leads and supports planning activities for Port Houston's marine terminals, operational infrastructure, and long-term facility needs. The position applies practical knowledge of marine terminal operations and cargo handling to identify constraints, assess infrastructure requirements, and develop decision-ready recommendations. It serves as the primary operational and terminal-planning resource, working cross-functionally to ensure planning recommendations align with strategic objectives and operating requirements.
Port Houston owns, manages, and operates eight public terminals along the 52-mile Houston Ship Channel waterway, including the area's largest breakbulk facility and two of the most efficient container terminals in the country. As a strategic leader and advocate for the Houston Ship Channel, Port Houston drives international trade at the local, regional, and national level while advancing the flow of seaborne cargo on a global scale. The port complex is the nation's largest for waterborne tonnage and a key economic engine for the Houston region, the state of Texas, and the U.S.
