Amherst
The Portfolio Management team serves as the internal fiduciary for investors, collaborating across all departments to ensure optimal portfolio performance for single-family rental properties. This role owns the fund- and JV-level distribution models that serve as the single source of truth for investor economics, producing recurring outputs and coordinating inputs across teams. The position involves translating complex model mechanics into clear decisions and narratives while communicating regularly with leading institutional investors.
Amherst is a vertically integrated real estate investment, development, and operating platform focused on reimagining fragmented and inefficient pockets of U.S. real estate, including single-family residential, mortgage-backed securities, and commercial real estate. Fueled by proprietary technology, deep-rooted expertise, and data-driven strategies, the company acquires, finances, manages, and operates residential and commercial properties across 32 U.S. markets. With over $16.4 billion in assets under management and approximately 47,000 homes under management, Amherst creates innovative solutions designed to unlock long-term value for investors, residents, and communities.
