Post Doc - Open Rank

A postdoctoral associate position is available in the Zhang Lab at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School to investigate how external experiences and internal physiology reshape sensory pathways and behavior using the mammalian taste system as a model. The role involves utilizing multidisciplinary approaches such as single-cell RNA sequencing, in vivo calcium imaging, CRISPR-based genetic engineering, optogenetics, and animal behavioral analysis to uncover neural and molecular mechanisms. The laboratory provides substantial intellectual freedom for the postdoctoral associate to develop new research directions within the program's scope.
