About this role

A Post-Doctoral Research Fellow will join the Novak Lab within the Department of Physiology and Cell Biology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and work as part of an interdisciplinary research team focused on musculoskeletal biology and skeletal healing.

Responsibilities

Conducts research activities under the direction of the Principal Investigator and research collaborators in support of funded and proposed grant projects.
Assists with developing and modifying research protocols, collecting background data, troubleshooting experimental approaches, and supporting ongoing research initiatives.
Maintains accurate and detailed research records, including documentation of experiments and results.
Ensures compliance with laboratory safety standards and maintains equipment records, maintenance schedules, and related documentation.
Assists with preparing publications, presentations, grant proposals, and research amendments in accordance with institutional policies and federal regulations.

Skills

Qualifications

Doctoral Degree (PhD) in biological field or biomedical sciences, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Genomics, or a related field.
