Postdoctoral Fellow - Advanced EOR Formulation and Interface Physics in Nanoporous Rocks (Shale)

This is a one-year, in-person Postdoctoral Fellow position at the Bureau of Economic Geology focused on leading laboratory investigations into fluid-fluid and fluid-rock interface optimization within unconventional shale reservoirs. The role involves designing and conducting high-pressure, high-temperature experiments to evaluate Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) mechanisms, characterizing interfacial tension and wettability, and collaborating with modeling teams to upscale findings. Candidates will publish high-impact science and develop expertise in complex subsurface fluid transport while working with industry and federal stakeholders.
